Teacher:

Kim Dahlstrom

Kim has enjoyed doing hair and makeup since her early teens, and got her Cosmetology License at the peak of spiral perms, mullets and big hair. Her decade of professional experience included working as a hair stylist, teaching hair cutting techniques, doing makeup for a local photographer and competing in local and national hairstyling competitions. It has been her pleasure to volunteer on the hair and makeup team at CYT. She loves the challenges, such as learning to style wigs, create hair pieces like Queen Victoria's bun for the show A Little Princess, and how to create bruises. Most of all, Kim really enjoys getting to know the students and helping them bring their role to life. She is excited to share her skills with the creative, adventurous students at CYT.

Teacher:

Alison Hall

Alison had been a dancer from kindergarten through college. She has learned many different styles of dance including tap, ballet, jazz, lyrical, and contemporary. She went on to be a gymnastics coach at Tricks for a few years. Most recently, Alison has received a MA in Special Education Teaching and is working as a special education teacher at an elementary school in the San Juan Unified School District. She is excited for this opportunity to work at CYT.
